Work Experience

We are here to help

Work Experience placements can be a great way of finding out exactly what it’s like to work in your chosen field before you begin your career. The length of placements vary depending on the organisation and sector, and what you are hoping to achieve. A work placement will provide you with new skills, and help you to discover what sort of work you would be most suited to – and your placement provider could help you to get a job by providing a reference for you.

Work Experience

In Wolverhampton, you could look for a work experience placement through your school careers advisor, or if you are no longer in school or college, why not look into placements at The City of Wolverhampton Council? As one of the city’s largest employers there are Work Experience opportunities across a wide variety of services and departments including ICT, Finance, Legal services, Customer services, Planning, Education, regulatory services, Leisure (WV Active) and more. Placements will last for one or two weeks in general.
