Our Sixth Form
The Sixth Form at Wednesfield High will offer you the opportunity to study a wide range of both academic and vocational courses, providing you with the qualifications you require to follow your chosen career path.
As part of an 11-18 Academy, the Sixth Form benefits from high quality teaching that understands how to build upon previous knowledge and skills. Staff do pride themselves upon the excellent working relationships they have with our Sixth Form students.
The 2016 results were excellent at both A level and in vocational subjects ensuring students achieved the grades to progress onto their chosen university, apprenticeship or into employment. We provide an outstanding level of support for our students and believe that a three way partnership between the students, parents and the school is key to achieving excellence. Parents will receive regular contact through reports and parents evenings and we strongly encourage regular contact home via subject and form tutors to ensure students are happy within school and to resolve any issues that might arise.
Sixth form students are in their own tutor groups. Your form tutor will support you in all aspects of Sixth Form and will have regular tutorials with you to review your progress. Your subject tutors will ensure you are provided with the highest level of academic support for your studies. A wide and varied enrichment programme will ensure you have so much more to offer than your academic attainment for prospective Universities, Apprenticeships and employment.
We pride ourselves on being a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive Sixth Form. Wednesfield High has such a wonderful family atmosphere that students, whilst excited for their future, really do not want to leave us!
