A course which involves being put onto a work placement
A traineeship is a course which also involves being put onto a work placement. This is another route that will help you get onto the apprenticeship or into work. To start a traineeship you must be aged 16 to 24 and qualified below Level 3. You must also be unemployed and have little or no work experience. This is an excellent starting point to get work experience and also help with improving your English and Maths if you need it. You do not get paid for the traineeship, however expenses will be covered.
Whichever option you choose to pursue, either way you will be gaining practical and meaningful experience in the world of work. These are options available to help you achieve your ambitions and career prospects in your journey to work! Find out more by visiting the .GOV.UK website.
